JAMIE COTTAGE

Jamie joined the firm in 2004 as an administrative assistant having previously worked for an income tax preparation firm. After spending his first year learning the administrative ropes and assisting our accounting department, Jamie moved into a full time position on our professional tax accounting staff. 

Jamie earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration & Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles, with emphasis placed on the study of individual, corporate and partnership taxation. Immediately after graduation he sat for, and passed the CPA exam in California. Currently Jamie is working towards a Masters of Science degree in Taxation at Golden Gate University, and will also be eligible for a Graduate Certificate in Estate Planning upon completion.

Jamie, along with our Managing Partner, Dennis Duban, head up the Estate Planning Department at the firm. He is an expert in Trust, Gift, Estate and Generation Skipping Transfer Tax. His wealth of knowledge, experience and education in the field has proven to be an essential asset to our wide variety of clients. He also dedicates a great deal of his time helping our clients to plan for and secure the life insurance necessary to give their families security and peace of mind.

In his free time Jamie enjoys snowboarding, architectural design and catching up on homework. He currently lives in West Hollywood and enjoys taking long walks with his dog, Jessi.
