TROY L. SATTLER

Troy received his Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in Accountancy from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He received his initial professional experience at Sattler & Associates, a family owned firm in Ohio. He later held positions at Ernst & Young, and Deloitte & Touche in Chicago. Troy relocated to Los Angeles and joined Duban, Sattler and Associates in 1999.

Having accumulated a broad depth of knowledge at both his family’s firm and major international CPA firms, Troy has a diverse range of specialties in the areas of taxation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, estates and non-profit entities, as well as an in-depth knowledge of multi-state taxation for individuals and business entities. 

Troy is a financial advisor with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc. specializing in individual, business, retirement and estate planning. After many years in public accounting, it became apparent that CPAs needed to expand their area of expertise to include financial advisory services. Troy obtained the necessary education and licenses to support his already considerable amount of knowledge as a financial advisor. He then co-founded Sattler Duban Capital Management with Dennis Duban in order to provide comprehensive financial planning services to our valued clientele including investment management, private wealth management, insurance services and business planning. 

Troy holds a CPA license in California, Illinois and Ohio. He also holds Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations, and is a licensed life insurance agent. His professional affiliations include memberships in the California, Illinois, Ohio and Washington State Societies of CPAs.

Troy resides in Los Angeles with his husband Bruce Scheffel, a Director at Deloitte Consulting. Together they enjoy spending time with their families, traveling, playing tennis, working out and rooting for the Lakers, Dodgers and Browns.
